Last week we had the pleasure of exhibiting at the Spar Appleby Westward show. Here we showed customers our fantastic brands that include:
St Pierre – Inspired by European café culture to create a range of bakery products with a sophisticated taste for you to enjoy every day.
Baker Street – Developed to offer consumers everyday bakery products that stay fresher for longer but still deliver on texture and flavour.
Paul Hollywood – This expertly crafted range has reinvigorated the category by using unique shapes, finishes and toppings which are complimentary to the home cooking trend.
As always our Baker Street brand excelled with a coastal retailer telling us they had saw the weather was going to be sunny that weekend so ordered 20 cases of Baker Street 4 white finger rolls. The sun shone and he sold all 20 cases in two days (240 packs which is equal to 960 finger rolls!). He said he would never have had the confidence to do that with 4/5-day shelf life buns in case the weather dipped then he would have suffered costly wastage! This is what these shows are all about for us, speaking to loyal customers and finding out how well our brands and products are working for them.
This year’s show was one of the first times we had taken our new Carrs Foods corporate rebrand to a UK exhibition show. Our new Carrs Foods look delivers a stronger look and feel that highlights the brands offering and the business as it continues to grow.
Spar Appleby Westward was a beneficial show for us that included new listings such as a chain of forecourts with 50 stores said their demand for sliced bread varied immensely so they are now going to stock both the white and brown Baker Street sliced loaf so they are always in stock and wastage is eliminated.
We had a great time exhibiting at Spar Appleby Westward and look forward to seeing all our customers again next year!
